Doctors

This is a running list of doctors that I've seen, or am currently working with. Some are absolutely exceptional, however, some have been a huge disappointment as well as a waste of time and money. If you have questions, please leave a comment and we can connect privately. I'm happy to share openly in the comments if it was a good experience, but I would prefer to share my opinion privately if it's negative. I hope you find this list helpful!

  1. Hi. My dad had a glioblastoma 12 years ago. I got the cancer gene and have a sarcoma. I saw dr Chang last week. Keep the faith. I respect you and your blog.

    1. Thank you so much! I'm sorry to hear about the sarcoma. Ugh. Awful. Please let me know if there's anything that I can do to help! And I don't mean that hyperbolically.

    1. It is not DCVax. It is a type of dendritic cell therapy that has been primed. If you would like more information, please comment with your email address and I can give you more information.

  5. Hi Jess - I've been following your blog for well over a year and have anonymously commented from time to time. Unfortunately, my husband was diagnosed with a grade III astrocytoma within the past week. One question - did you have a nutritionist help you in determining which supplements to take? My husband will be starting radiation therapy in about two weeks and our radiologist warned against taking supplements containing anti-oxidants. I'm wondering where I can get professional help (not the internet)in evaluating supplements for my husband (curcumin, samento, berberine, etc . . . ) Thanks! Lorin

    1. Oh no, how did I miss this!?!? I am so incredibly sorry!! And embarrassed. How is your husband? I have been to a few different nutritionists, both physically and utilizing specialists via long distance communication. I hope you were able to reach out to the amazing BT community (http://btcocktails.blogspot.com/). Perhaps someone there could recommend a professional for future use. I am mortified that I didn't see this until literally this moment. Please let me know if there's anything else you might need at this time.

  6. Hi Jessica,

My wife has had a second recurrence of GBM and has been referred to hospice by her NO who says there is nothing more he can do for her. Can you advise us if it is possible to access Newcastle Disease Virus treatment without travelling from our home in the Boston area? She is quite ill and unable to travel.

    1. Crap. I'm so sorry Tim. I don't know of any NDV treatments that you can get at home. I'll email you my doctor's information shortly. Maybe they can give you more options, or can refer you. I'm so sorry to hear about your wife. Are you familiar with the website http://btcocktails.blogspot.com ? There's a bunch of patients and caregivers who do all kinds of amazing treatments. There's a search box in the top left side and you can search for what you're looking for. Perhaps there are other treatments that you can get to administer at home.

  9. Hello JESS
I feel as if I know you so well. It was five years ago I got a call from my daughter in law that they had just taken my 35 year old son to surgery for a tumor that in compassed three quarters of his skull. I remember dropping to the floor with the phone. I am a nurse and he is a paramedic I knew what that phone call meant. I made it to the hospital in record time 6 hours of thinking about everything I should have said to him. When I last kissed his face. I WALKED IN EXPECTING THE WORSE BUT THERE WAS MY SON SITTING UP IN BED WATCHING TV!!! The tumor was benign! That day changed my life now I take nothing for granted. You and Dan are an inspiration keep fighting girl! Love Kate Wendel
