  2. Try some activia yogurt. I always have issues, and have my whole life. Major ones, where I can't use the bathroom for a week. When this occurs, I always forget that activia always gets me going. I freak out every time too, because it is so uncomfortable.
But I swear by that yogurt.
Laxatives never work for me, and never have.

  3. Hi Jess!

I hope you are feeling better soon and that the floodgates open :)...but, of course, I hope it's not like that scene from Dumb & Dumber when it actually happens. You make me laugh so hard...to think that a couple of days ago you were devestated that you tooted in front of Danny, and now he's looking for anything he can to help you go. It is really love, true love :) You are doing so well and it amazes me how far you've come in such a short time. Wishing you the best and you're in my thoughts and prayers!

  4. Nothing you put is ever too gross - sharing is healing and we all rejoice in every regained skill. Warm apple juice used to work for me - sounds strange but used to work! Keep your chin up and keep smiling you are beautiful!

  6. You are cute and funny and wise and adorable!! Good blogging lady!! I live your hat! It brings back memories of chats and coffee and crying and laughing mostly all over the phone. You are so special and fun. Oh so about the constipation.... My boys both had it really badly for a period when they were younger and the doc sAid to get over the counter suppositories. Any drug store has them and they are gentle but work within an hour. I don't think they will fail you. Blessings and love to you!

  7. Has anyone thought to ask if senna is safe/possible? It's all natural and works far better than chemical laxatives... glad others have said something I was going to say, that nothing is too gross or TIM, Jess... we all love you! I am so amazed by your spirit and am so happy you're making suck incredible progress! XOXO

  8. You might look into visceral massage. After my bowl extraction I found that having my hubby message my bowls would help get things moving. Might be worth a shot. Mel

  9. Peanut butter always works for me, a spoonful. Or, even a peanut butter cookie. Yun, I think I want one now, regardless...

  11. Jess, when I had my baby via csection it took a week and a day to get things moving despite laxatives and healthy eating. Oh how I remember those stomach cramps! That would make today your day! And, brace yourself people for TMI, I had to go in a hot shower cause I couldnt make it happen on the toilet, LOL! Try it, it might work!

  14. Hi Jess,
Sooo sorry to hear about the Poo problem, it can be very painful. Activia yogart does usually work. Glad to hear what great care you are getting and that the Dr took such good care to make the incision neat and clean for healing "pretty". You sound good and upbeat, your amazing!!!! Keep your chin up and hope the pathology report comes back with great news. Hugs and prayers from Lisa Z.

  15. My suggestion dear Jess is MiraLax, at least one cap full per day along with Benifiber(if you can find it) if not, any dissolvable fiber additive. You need to take it daily until you are back to your normal routine. That will help from above to get things going, but you may need to use a warm fleets enema or at the very minimum a glycerin suppository or two! And I have always found that giving my patients warm stewed prunes or at least drinking hot prune juice is another great home remedy. It is so fantastic to see you up and about... what an answer to prayer!!!

  16. I have three words for you (well maybe more) SMOOTH MOVE TEA aka Senna Leaf.....put two bags in...steep it extra long and I truly believe it will solve your problem....just don't be anywhere that you aren't able to have instant access to a bathroom because once it wants to work there is no turning back! Precious Jess, I absolutely admire so much about you, your sense of humor in the face of adversity is off the charts! If they could bottle up your outlook on life everybody would be begging for a shot! Big warm healing fuzzy hugs to you and Dan. Keep shining like the star you are! xoxoxo Juniper
